Safeguarding

At Lode Heath School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment where all students can thrive, learn, and grow. Safeguarding is not just a policy; it's a collective responsibility shared by everyone in our school community.

Our Commitment

The safety and well-being of every student is our top priority. We have robust safeguarding procedures in place to ensure that all students are protected from harm, abuse, or neglect. Our dedicated staff members undergo regular training to recognise signs of safeguarding concerns and to respond appropriately to any issues that may arise.

Local and National Support

 Key Safeguarding Principles

  • Prevention: We believe that prevention is key to safeguarding. We provide education and awareness programmes to empower students to protect themselves and their peers.

  • Early Intervention: We are proactive in identifying and addressing any safeguarding concerns at the earliest possible stage to prevent escalation.

  • Collaboration: We work closely with students, parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

  • Respect and Dignity: We treat all students with respect and dignity, valuing their individuality and recognising their rights.
